Mission Statement

The Worldwide Aircraft Propeller Association was officially formed in 1992 with the following purposes:

  • To promote and maintain a cooperative spirit between repair stations certified to maintain propellers under 14 Code of Federal Regulation Subsection 145 and their suppliers and customers;
  • To promote high standards of professionalism among the members of the Association and the aviation propeller maintenance industry;
  • To disseminate information to the aviation propeller maintenance industry;
  • To alert the aviation propeller maintenance industry of any regulatory or legistative activities which may affect the conduct of their business;
  • To provide the exchange of technical support and information to members of the aviation maintenance industry;
  • To disseminate information and provide opportunities to exchange information between members of the aviation propeller maintenance industry; and,
  • To undertake any and all activities on behalf of the aviation propeller maintenance industry permitted under the laws of the District of Columbia.

The Goals of the association are as follows:

  • Promote timely propeller inspections;
  • Research economical group liability insurance;
  • Research economical group health insurance;
  • Parts locating collection center;
  • Provide exchange of information on pending and appellate court cases, including an active list of expert witnesses;
  • Propeller related service difficulty alerts;
  • WAPA membership plaques with number of membership years;
  • Include "show and tell" at meetings;
  • Guest speakers
